Yarrison takes bronze at FINA Diving Grand Prix
MOSCOW -- Texas senior All-America diver Mary Yarrison claimed a bronze medal alongside Abby Johnston in the three-meter synchronized diving event on Friday, April 11 at the FINA Diving Grand Prix.
Yarrison (Springfield, Va.), who teamed with Johnston to win the event at the 2006 USA Diving National Championships, totaled 296.70 points to pick up the bronze. China's Dong Jun and Lin Na won gold at 310.20, and Germany's Katja Dieckow and Nora Subschinski won silver at 303.00.
Yarrison completed her collegiate diving career at Texas last month at the NCAA Championship, where she placed second in the one-meter event and ninth in the three-meter event with a consolation-round score that would have won the championship final.
