Cullinan and Wilcox make 1-meter finals

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Texas had two divers make the finals of the 1-meter competition Thursday at the NCAA Zone D Diving Event in Iowa City, Iowa.
Junior Diana Wilcox posted a total score of 514.85 to finish 11th overall. She moved up three spots from the prelims where she stood 14th with 258.40 points. Her top score of the championship round was a 49.20 on her reverse 1 1/2 somersault pike.
Junior Shelby Cullinan ended up in 14th place in the 1-meter with a score of 508.15. She scored a 45.60 on her inward 1 1/2 somersault pike for her top score of the finals.
Also competing on Thursday was junior Samantha Holland. She scored 249.55 points in the prelims to come in 19th.
The women’s 3-meter competition will take place on Friday and the platform on Saturday.
