200 Freestyle Relay

Erica Dagg, Cal Berkeley
On her team's winning performance: It's awesome. It's a great way to start off the meet and start off the session. We had a great morning, everyone really stepped it up. The whole team was with us on that relay.

Ellen Lobb, University of Texas
On being a freshman on a third-place relay team: It hasn't even hit yet. I came in as a relay alternate, and I was going to be happy if they just put me in for the mornings. The fact that they put me in this one - I'm just so thankful.

500 Freestyle

Allison Schmitt, University of Georgia
On winning her third title in the event: It feels good. Every time I'm out there I swim for what's on my cap, so it's great to win one for the Bulldogs. On holding off Meredith Budner: She had a great race, and she definitely wanted it.

200 Individual Medley

Katinka Hosszu, Southern California
On the feeling from winning: Well, I'm a little tired, but I'm also very happy. It's nice to be able to say that I'm the champion. On how this win pushes her team: I think this will be really good for the team. I got the most points I could for this race. I hope I helped my team enough today.

Karlee Bispo, University of Texas
On developing in this event over the season: Training with Leah Gingrich is great for me, and training with Laura in general has helped my freestyle. I've tried to change things up a bit. The 50 is pure sprinting, and it definitely helped my other races.

On how coaches Kim Brackin and Jim Henry have helped her development: I definitely have so much confidence in Kim and Jim. Right before the race I realized that this is what we've trained for all year. It's been a really fun year to train with this program.

50 Freestyle

Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace, Auburn
On how she mentally prepared for this race: My details this morning weren't very good, so all afternoon I was just thinking about my start and my turns. That's all I was thinking about going into that race.

On being an NCAA Champion: I've worked hard all year, so it's great to achieve something. It's awesome for Auburn. I hope it builds our confidence so we can swim faster.

One-meter Diving

Kelci Bryant, Minnesota
On her thoughts approaching the final dive: I was thinking through my dive. I was kind of zoning out. I wasn't stressing too much. I was having fun. I think I kind had it in my head that I had (the competition) in the bag already. I tried not to focus on what bad could happen.

400 Medley Relay

Liv Jensen, Cal Berkeley
On swimming the anchor leg for the winning relay: That really was a special swim. I was tired and had two events earlier this evening. But one of our captains sat us down and said, "You know, we're all tired. But we all have to swim our best. That's what we have to give." I just went for it. I think the outcome was awesome.

On this win giving her team momentum after being fourth after the first day: That's really good momentum. We have a strong day tomorrow, and we're really looking forward to that.
