Mandy Ogle named defensive MVP at Canadian Open

Junior catcher Mandy Ogle was named defensive most valuable player for the Elite Division at the 2012 Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship. Ogle aided the California A's to a perfect 12-0 record as the team scored 83 runs while allowing only three. The team won the division championship after defeating Great Britain, 3-2, in the title game. Ogle played in every game last season for the Longhorns, batting .303 (43-for-142) with six doubles, one triple, three home runs and 27 stolen bases as Texas finished with a 47-13 record, reaching the NCAA Super Regional.
