Palm Springs postcard: Crystal Saenz
Hey y'all, Today started bright and early when the team met at McCombs Field at 7 a.m. and packed all of our stuff for our trip. We got to the Austin airport pretty quickly and after some confusion at the front desk we got off on our flight. The team had study hall for the entire two-hour flight to Phoenix, Ariz., so we didn't get to visit until we got to the airport. In Phoenix we were able to get a quick snack to eat before getting on our flight to Palm Springs. In Palm Springs we had quite an adventure at baggage claim, waiting about 30 minutes for our baggage to arrive. After finally getting our bags we headed outside and we were blinded by the bright sunlight and surprised by our brand new bus! The team then headed to a shopping center near our hotel to eat a late lunch at a variety of restaurants. I ate lunch with a group of the girls at The Cheesecake Factory. After eating we checked into our hotel and had a little time to take a nap before practice. We had a really good practice today at a field that was a replica of Fenway Park. I think the team is looking strong and I feel like the team is well prepared for the weekend. We are very excited to get things going. After practice and a quick dinner we all rushed back to the hotel to watch Grey's Anatomy. Off to bed now. Hook 'em,
