Softball has two games selected for national television broadcasts

IRVING, Texas - The Texas Softball team had a pair of games selected for national television broadcasts, according to a release from the Big 12 Conference Friday. The Longhorns' March 24 contest against Baylor at Red & Charline McCombs Field will now begin at 12:30 p.m. CT and air on Fox Sports Networks. UT's road regular-season finale, May 5 at Oklahoma State, will start at 12 p.m. CT and be broadcast on ESPN. All 29 of Texas' home games this season will be televised on Longhorn Network or FSN. UT opens the season Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Longhorns enter the season ranked No. 7 in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll while standing No. 9 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.
