Opening Statement:
Obviously it is great to win the Regional and proceed to the Super Regional Championships. It is a huge step forward for the BYU Softball Program. We have knocked on the door several times in the past. One of our goals coming into this year was to proceed farther than we ever have before and we achieved that goal. I'm proud of our team for their accomplishments this far, and I'm proud of the way they managed to come back no matter what situation they found themselves in. We could have fallen long before today, but we never got nervous, we never fell out of our rhythm, and we proved ourselves a very tough team.
On adapting to East Carolina: We made adjustments to their pitcher. We got some breaks along the way, and we kept our composure throughout. There was a lot of chatter before we came here that it was going to be one of the easiest regionals for a team to get through. Other than Texas, the competition was not the greatest. Texas is a great team. Winning the Big 12 and accomplishing what they have was no easy task. However, East Carolina is a scary team. They are tough.Toni Paisley is a great pitcher. And this was one of the strongest Regionals we've been a part of since I've been with BYU.

On the emotions after winning: It is definitely exciting. It was a frustrating journey for me personally because I have been to regionals twice and both times we were unable to advance. We knew we belonged here and to finally have won this stage is simply amazing.

On what it feels like to win: This is my freshman year, and to already be a part of a winning team, and to already have made history feels great.

Opening statement:
We would like to congratulate BYU. I think today's game showed why their offense is so prolific. I'm proud of the 13 kids in our lockeroom, and saying goodbye to seven seniors is hard for us. I'm very pleased and very proud of what they've accomplished this year.
On how important it was to get to the finals: That was our goal. Our goal leaving Greenville was not just to come here and win a game. Our goal was to be playing on Saturday and leave the rest up to chance. We're very proud and hopefully after this weekend, a few more people have heard about East Carolina University.
P Toni Paisley
On her pitching performance: They're great hitters. When I came out today I wasn't tired from the past couple of days. They did a great job of jumping on all of the pitches that I had to throw for strikes. I give credit to them for doing a great job today.
