Head Coach Connie Clark
Opening statement: It's extremely difficult to be finished. Obviously, I think we started chipping away late. We stayed positive in the dugout throughout that ball game. We started getting it going as far as run production late in the game. We had some great at bats and hit the ball hard. Our bats were significantly better in the second game than the first.

On Texas' at bats: Our bats were a whole lot better. I felt the floodgates were going to open when we put that first run on, but we came up a little too short. We did have some good at bats tonight.

On Taylor Hoagland's homerun: That doesn't surprise me. She's had some big at bats for us throughout the entire year. She responds tremendously well under pressure. It helped us gain momentum and got things started.

On starting P Rachel Fox: Rachel Fox has done some great things for us. We knew it was going to take both Fox and Luna for us to come back after not getting the win earlier. Fox needed some experience, and I just felt like she could go in and get exactly that.

Junior 1B Lexy Bennett
On her single in the seventh inning: Well, with a runner on second base all I wanted to do is hit something to the right side of the field and try and move the runner up.

Sophomore P Blaire Luna
On the loss: I definitely think that it's a tough loss. I think Louisiana did a great job tonight, and all we can do is learn from this.

Opening statement: First of all I would like to say The University of Texas has a class softball program. I think the world of Coach Connie Clark and the Texas team. They had an amazing team this year. I'm glad we could come out here, start the day off well with a win, and finish up tonight.

On rebounding from yesterday: I think that we were mentally prepared yesterday, but we weren't capable of making physical adjustments along the way. But I know that everything works differently after a good night's sleep. This team is an incredibly hard working team. This team wakes up every day with a goal in mind and goes to work. They showed up today with a new resolve and were able to execute some things that they weren't able to yesterday. I think it was a great team effort today.

Junior P Ashley Brignac
On fighting back: This team has done that all year. When something isn't going our way we come back and make adjustments. That's what this program is about. This team came out today with the attitude of why not us. We laid it all out on the line today.

Junior INF Paige Cormier
On fighting back: We've always had a lot of fight all season. There's no doubt in my mind that we were going to come out today and fight and not give up till the game was over.

On her performance: I just concentrated on making the right adjustments and executing the offense. I just did whatever I could to get the pitch I was looking for, putting a good swing on it and giving my team a chance to win.

Junior UTL Christi Orgeron
On fighting back: We tried to get rid of the soft spots in our lineup to where the other team had to work hard to get all of us out. It puts a lot of pressure on the other team. We just went out there and played Ragin' Cajun softball and let the chips fall where they may.
