Three Soccer players named to NSCAA Central Region team
MISSION, Kan. -- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced Thursday (Nov. 3) that three Texas soccer players were named to the 2006 All-Central Region team. Junior forward Kelsey Carpenter and sophomore defender Kasey Moore were named to the 11-member first team while sophomore defender Stephanie Logterman was a second team choice. Moore earns a second consecutive spot on the region's first team as she was named one of the top defenders in 2005. Carpenter is also a repeat selection as she earned the spotlight as a member of the third-team in 2005. Logterman makes her debut with her 2006 regional team selection. The Longhorns have had multiple selections in eight of the last 10 seasons. In 2004 and 2005, three UT players were named to the NSCAA All-Central Region team. During the 2001 season, a program-high seven Texas soccer players were voted to the regional best list.
