Soccer to face James Madison in NCAA First Round

AUSTIN, Texas -- The No. 25 Texas Longhorns will face James Madison in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship. The teams will meet for the first time in program history at 6:30 p.m. Central on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at Fetzer Field on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
The Longhorns are making their ninth appearance over the last 10 years in the NCAA Tournament. UT is 6-8-1 since its first tournament match on Nov. 16, 2001 (a 2-1 loss to SMU in College Station). Texas has advanced to the Round of 16 three times since 2004. Other Big 12 teams to make the field are Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. The 2010 NCAA College Cup will be held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina on December 3-5. NCAA First and Second Rounds Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010
