Last Time Out: Nebraska (Oct. 3)
Texas dropped a 2-1 contest at Nebraska for its first loss of the season, Oct. 3. Senior Kasey Moore netted the Longhorns lone goal in the 33rd minute after connecting on a chipped ball from senior Courtney Gaines. With the win, Nebraska pulled even in the all-time series (9-9-0) and snapped UT's five-game winning streak against the Cornhuskers.

Home Field Advantage
Texas currently owns a 22-game unbeaten streak at home dating back to the 2006 campaign, the longest such stretch in UT soccer history. The Horns' last loss at Mike A. Myers Field came on Sept. 29, 2006 to the No. 17 Oklahoma State Cowgirls (0-1). UT welcomes 11 opponents to their home pitch this season.

Dominating defense
Not only were Texas' four goals allowed over its first nine matches a program-low, but they are also the second fewest allowed over any nine-game stretch in UT history. The Longhorns kept foes to three goals during a nine-game stint three times since the program started in 1994. The experienced back line has also held opponents to just 51 shots on goal, which averages out to just over five opportunities per match (5.10). Texas leads the Big 12 in goals allowed, goals-against average (0.40) and shutouts (five). UT is also fourth in the nation in save percentage (0.911).

More of Moore
Senior defender Kasey Moore has made a mark on both ends of the field this season anchoring the UT backline while also racking up 11 points off four goals and three assists. Moore is second on the team in scoring and her four goals place her 11th in UT's career record books with 17.

National Attention
The Longhorns are ranked in the top 10 in all four national coaches' polls entering the Nebraska- match. Texas is rated No. 7 by SoccerTimes.com, Soccer America and Soccer Buzz. UT climbed one spot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas poll to the No. 8 slot. UT has been ranked in the nation's top 15 for 46-straight games dating back to Oct. 13, 2006.

UT-A&M play to 0-0 draw for first time in series history
The No. 7 Longhorns battled to a scoreless tie against No. 8 Texas A&M in front of a record crowd of 5,585 at Mike A. Myers Stadium Friday night in both squads' Big 12 Conference opener. UT was led by senior Jill Gilbeau, who fired a career-high four shots on goal. The tie was the first in the 14-year history of the series and marked the first time UT has opened league play with a tie.
