Q&A with Emily Anderson
Soccer freshman Emily Anderson, a native of Austin and graduate of Westlake High School, etched her name in the UT statistical sheet, registering the first assist of her career on junior Leslie Imber's first-half goal in Sunday's 3-3 tie with Big 12 Conference foe Oklahoma. The first-year Longhorn has seen action in 11 games in 2006 with one start, coming against Nicholls State on Sept. 15. In that match, she took a season-high four shots with one attempt on goal. TexasSports.com sat down with Anderson to ask a few, off-the-field questions... Has anyone every said you looked like a celebrity? If so, who? Yes, I've been compared to Julia Stiles and Katherine Heigl. Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop? No I haven't made it to New York City for New Year's but I watch it on television every year. Do you know any famous celebrities, athletes or entertainers? No, but if I could choose to know someone, it would be actor Keanu Reeves. What do you usually order from Starbucks? When I go in there, I get an iced mocha to go. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you purchased? I would buy a house on the lake and then a new boat. What do you carry with you at all times? I have to have my cell phone with me wherever I go. What was your favorite memory of the summer of 2006? I went to see the "The Body Worlds 3" exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. ("Body Worlds" is a traveling exhibition of preserved human bodies and body parts that are prepared using a technique called "plastination" to reveal inner organs or structures).
