A conversation with Kate Nicholson

What is your biggest indulgence? I would have to go with any yogurt spot. I am sucker for all these yogurt places. There’s this one I always go to. I get the cheese cake with the strawberries and graham crackers. Oh my gosh!
When and where are you happiest? When I am at a really big concert. Aside from winning a soccer game, I’d say that is a good place to be.
What’s the best concert you have seen in Austin? Citizen Cope was really good.
Who are your heroes in real life? Probably my mom. Everything that comes her way she deals with and she doesn’t complain. I’d like to be her when I’m older.
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? I would like to be better at math.
Where you most like to live? My own island, and I would live on a beach
If you could play another UT sport what would it be? How about a club sport? Flag football would be really fun.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I don’t know. I want to be happy.
What superpower would you most want to have? I would like to read people’s minds
What is your standard breakfast? Those granola bars we have in the locker room just because we are in such a hurry and practice so early.
Do you eat a bigger meal after practice? Yeah, when I get home I pull out the George Foreman grill and make myself a Panini or something.
What is your perfect day? I would lay on the beach, and then go to concert, and then hit some yogurt spot.
What do you enjoy most about soccer? Helping my team win.
Ideal travel destination? I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland. I think it would be fun.
Do you enjoy exercise? I do. If I don’t exercise for even a couple of days, I get grouchy and sluggish. There is nothing better than a good, long run.
