LONGHORNS UPDATE
* While the Longhorns 2-1 loss to No. 3 Portland on Sept. 16 snapped the club's school-record home winning streak at 14 games, their 2-1 victory over Rice on Sept. 18 broke their four-match winless stretch and gave them 15 wins in their last 16 contests at Myers Stadium.
* Notably, while all three of Texas' losses in 2005 have been by one goal, the Longhorns defense has surrendered only seven goals over its seven matches to date and recorded three shutouts this season for a team goals against average of 0.97.
* UT defenders have also made a major impact offensively for the Longhorns in 2005 as they have accounted for 11 of the club's 26 points to date by scoring three goals and notching five assists.
* With an assist against No. 3 Portland on Sept. 16, senior defender Julie Gailey now paces the Horns with three assists in seven matches this year, which eclipses her career assist total (2) during her previous three seasons on the Forty Acres.
* Following their two stops in the state of Oklahoma, the Longhorns return home to face Baylor on Sept. 30 in a 7 p.m. Central match at Myers Stadium presented by Time Warner Cable.
