LONGHORNS UPDATE
* With two wins to kick off the 2005 season last weekend, the Longhorns are off to their best start since 2002 when they opened the campaign with three consecutive victories. Notably, the last time UT began the year with back-to-back shutouts was 1999 when Texas posted three shutouts in a row to kick off the year.

* Two wins to open the 2005 campaign also extended the team's school-record home winning streak to 14 matches.

* Texas' 1-0 shutout victory over SMU on Aug. 26 not only evened UT's record in season openers to 6-6 all-time, but also gave the Horns their first-ever win over the Mustangs in eight matches all-time.

* Freshman defender Kasey Moore was selected as the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and named to the Soccer America Team of the Week following her game-winning goal versus Auburn (8/28). Freshman forward Erin Davis, meanwhile, picked up a pair of assists against the Tigers to notch her first collegiate points and mark the Horns' first multi-assist effort of the 2005 campaign.

* Following their two stops in Michigan, the Longhorns continue their road trip with a 8:30 p.m. Central match at BYU on Sept. 12.
