Logterman named to Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week

AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas senior Stephanie Logterman has been named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week for play during the weekend of August 22. The Team of the Week is put together by the editors of the national magazine and encompasses nearly 5,000 Division I student-athletes. Logterman netted two in the Horns' 4-0 victory over Samford, Friday, Aug. 22 for her first career multi-goal game. The four-point output also marked a career high for the defender out of Austin, Texas. The five-time U.S. Youth National Team member has been a member of the UT backline for the past three seasons but moved up to the forward position in last week's season-opener. Logterman had only scored three goals over the course of her Longhorn career prior to the Samford match. Eighth-ranked UT will face Southeast Conference foe Kentucky, Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. Central before wrapping up the trip with a match at Louisville on Sunday, Aug. 31 at noon Central.
