Soccer preview: N.C. State

Follow the Horns on Twitter and Facebook N.C. State (0-2-0) at Texas (1-1-0) AUSTIN, Texas - Texas Soccer returns to Austin after a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., to begin a four-match home stand. The string starts Friday with an 8 p.m. Central match against Atlantic Coast Conference member N.C. State (0-2-0). The Wolfpack opened its campaign last Friday with a 2-0 loss at Old Dominion and suffered a 3-1 setback to Cincinnati on Sunday. Head coach Steve Springthorpe's squad does not have any seniors, but features six juniors and 10 sophomores, including 2011 ACC All-Freshman Team selection Shelli Spamer. So far this year, freshman forward Caroline Gentry has scored the team's goal and leads N.C. State with 10 shots. After N.C. State, UT continues the home stand with a 1 p.m. Sunday contest against Toledo (0-2-0).
