LONGHORNS UPDATE
· University of Texas head coach Chris Petrucelli returns 15 letterwinners from the 2005 season including ten starters. The squad finished the year with an 11-9-1 record and its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. UT extended another streak, posting double digit wins for the sixth straight year.

· The Longhorns return every player who scored a goal last season including team leaders Kelsey Carpenter (Allen, Texas) and Caitlin Kennedy (Euless, Texas), who recorded six goals apiece and totaled 16 points in 2005.

· UT was picked to finish third in the Big 12 Conference Preseason Coaches Poll and led the league with four selections to the preseason all-conference team. Kennedy is on the team for the second time in her career. Sophomores goalkeeper Dianna Pfenninger (Sugar Land, Texas), defender Kasey Moore (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and defender Stephanie Logterman (Austin, Texas) were selected for the first time.
