Soccer announces 2008 spring schedule
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas soccer head coach Chris Petrucelli announced the 2008 spring schedule. The Longhorns play five matches in the state of Texas including three matches in Austin and a fifth match against NCAA College Cup semifinalist UCLA in Temecula, Calif. The Longhorns face UCLA, who has made five consecutive trips to the NCAA College Cup, at Great Oak High School at 7:30 p.m. Central on Saturday, April 5. UT opens the spring season on Saturday, Feb. 23 with a tilt against Central Florida at the Town and Country Fields in Austin at 4 p.m. Central. The Longhorns face St. Edwards on Sunday, March 2 at Mike A. Myers Stadium at 1 p.m. Monterey Tech comes to town for a one-game set at Whitaker Field at 1 p.m. on March 30. Texas concludes the spring season with a match against NCAA postseason participant LSU. The Horns and Tigers square off at 3 p.m. Central on Sunday, April 13 at Meyer Park in Spring, Texas.
