Two more standouts added to Soccer signing class

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Texas Soccer Team received two more commitments for the 2012-13 season in addition to the seven they already on the opening of the current signing period last Wednesday. Joining the Texas Soccer Team for next year are forward Brinkley Field (Dallas, Texas) and midfielder Aaron Strawser (Beaumont, Texas). Brinkley has been a member of the Dallas-Solar Girls Club team since 2003. In her time with Solar, Brinkley has won the US Youth Soccer National Championship in 2010, and the Disney Showcase in both 2009 and 2010. Brinkley has also been a four-year starter for Lake Highlands High School, and the leading goal scorer and captain for Lake Highlands the past three years. Lake Highlands has not lost a bi-district title while Brinkley has been on the team. She was All-District first team as well as Offensive Player of the Year her junior season. Field is currently in the middle of her senior campaign at Lake Highlands and is once again leading her team in scoring. Strawser was selected to be a member of the South Texas Olympic Development Program in 2010. In the club level as a member of the Albion Hurricanes FC out of Houston, Texas, Strawser has led her team to a Disney Showcase Championship in 2011 and a South Texas Premiere League Championship in 2012. Strawser has also been a four-year starter for her high school in Beaumont, Texas, Westbrook Senior High. Her freshman year she received New Comer of the Year, and in both her sophomore and junior seasons she was named District MVP. She is currently competing in her senior season at Westbrook.
