Rowing looks to defend Conference USA championship

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Rowing program looks to defend its Conference USA championship this weekend at the Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Texas will defend its title against eight other squads: SMU, Tulsa, UCF, Alabama, Tennessee, Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma.

Competition will take place tomorrow. Texas has five boats competing, but only the first varsity eight, second varsity eight and first varsity four will count in terms of scoring for the meet.
