Rowing adds Dayley and McPherson to list of 2006-07 signees
AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas rowing head coach Carie Graves has announced the additions of Emily Dayley ( Oak Ridge, Tenn./Oak Ridge HS) and Mary McPherson (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit HS) to the 2006-07 class, as announced Wednesday. Dayley and McPherson have both signed National Letters of Intent and join 11 other individuals who signed to come to Austin for the 2006-07 academic year. The 2006-07 class, all incoming freshmen, also includes: Nicole Anderson (Irvine, Calif./University HS), Nancy Arrington (Marietta, Ga./Alan C. Pope HS), Lindsay Foster (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East HS), Anne Heiner (Madison, Wis./Madison West HS), Jessica Kolmer (Vienna, Va./James Madison HS), Steph Matejka (Hampton, Conn./Miss Porter's School HS), Callie Mattrisch (Milwaukee, Wis./Martin Luther HS), Mariah McAfee (Seattle, Wash./Nathan Hale HS), Jessika Monroe (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Preparatory HS), Lindsey Wetesnik (San Antonio, Texas/Incarnate Word HS) and Elizabeth Wood (Chattanooga, Tenn./Girls Preparatory HS). UT Rowing will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14, when it travels to Oakridge, Tenn., for the NCAA South/Central Regionals on Melton Lake. The Longhorns are seeking a third appearance at the NCAA Championships, slated for May 27-28 on Mercer Lake in Winsor, N.J. and hosted by the Princeton National Rowing Association and Rutgers.
