Rowing preview: Big 12 Championship

April 26, 2012

The Texas Rowing program makes its bid for a fourth consecutive Big 12 Conference championship on Saturday (April 28) on the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City. The Longhorns are coming off their performance at the Lake Natoma Invitational in California as the team recorded one of their best overall finishes in the past three years for that particular meet.

This will be the first time in Big 12 history that six races will be run with the two novice boats being reclassified as the third and fourth varsity eight boats.

Fans can get results on the Big 12 Conference page here or on Twitter (@TexasRowing) as the meet progresses.

The Oklahoma River will be a familiar environment for the Longhorns after the team competed there last October for the Head of the Oklahoma.
