AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas women's rowing team returns to the water on Saturday, March 26, when it hosts Big 12 rival Kansas for a dual race on Town lake. Action is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. (CST) with the second novice eights, while Texas' 15th-ranked first varsity eight boat begins its race at 10 a.m.
Texas is coming off a dominating performance as it hosted the fifth-annual Longhorn Invitational on Town on March 18-20. The Longhorns varsity and novice squads combing to win 22 of 24 races in the regatta, which featured squads from Kansas State, Iowa, Duke, SMU, Tulsa and the University of Victoria (British Columbia).
The Longhorns and Jayhawks faced one another last year and UT won four-of-five races at Burcham Park in Lawrence, Kan.
