LAST YEAR AT THE HEART OF TEXAS: Texas' varsity eight boats took the top three spots in the women's open 8+ at the 2012 Heart of Texas.

LAST TIME OUT: Texas competed in the Fighting Nutria at Lady Bird Lake on Feb. 9. The Longhorns posted three top-five finishes.

MORE ON THE LONGHORNS: Texas concluded the 2011-12 season by taking second at the Conference USA Championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Then-seniors Felicia Izaguirre-Werner, Karli Sheahan and Jackie Gorcyca earned All-Conference USA selections.

Laurel McCaig was selected as the Big 12 Co-Rower of the Year and head coach Carie Graves was named as the Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year after the Longhorns won their fourth straight Big 12 title last season.
