Boyes and VanderMaarel clinch Row Canada Best Club Team honor

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas freshman rower Sydney Boyes and senior Jennifer VanderMaarel have been awarded one of Row Canada's highest honors, earning the organization's Best Club Team honor for their under-23 four's performance at the 2010 Royal Canadian Henley. At the 128th annual Royal Canadian Henley in August in St. Catharine's, Ontario, VanderMaarel and Boyes raced for St. Catharine's Rowing Club and earned four gold medals each. The tandem took gold in the senior women's eight, under-23 women's eight, senior women's 4+ and the under-23 4+. The duo won the award along with their St. Catharine's teammates Meg Tucker and Lisa Roman.
