BOSTON, Mass. – Texas Rowing logged a pair of top-25 finishes Sunday as the Longhorns concluded competition at the 48th Head of the Charles Regatta, the world’s largest annual two-day rowing event.
Texas’ championship four boat featuring coxswain Rachel Donnelly, stroke Olivia Nail, Jessica Glennie, Lyndsey DuBose and Tea Vrtlar took 12th place and navigated the 4,828-meter course in 20:10.183. Rowing Canada Aviron took the victory in 18:32.098.
Texas’ championship eight crew of coxswain Kassandra Budzik, stroke Sydney Boyes, Laurel McCaig, Devon Clark, Casey Redman, Katarina Susac, Victoria Bujala, Johanna Neuber and Chelsea Burns took 22nd place and finished in 17:49.376. U.S. Rowing claimed the victory in 16:13.487
Texas resumes fall competition on Saturday, Oct. 27 when it competes in the Head of the Colorado on Lady Bird Lake in Austin.
