AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11)
- spent her first season racing in the novice four and eight boats
- competed in three races at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 6-7, 2010), including the open four, open eight and the first novice eight, which earned a second-place finish (18:02.3)
- propelled the first novice eight boat to a second-place finish (30:11.0) at the Fighting Nutria on Feb. 12, 2011
- paced the first novice eight boat to a win (3:45.2) and lifted the third novice four boat to a third-place finish at the Heart of Texas (March 5, 2011)
- led the first novice eight to three wins at the Longhorn Invitational (March 18-20, 2011) over Louisville (7:15.1), Iowa (7:25.1) and San Diego (7:36.2) ... the crew had only one loss against Wisconsin (7:52.9)
- moved to the third varsity boat for the Virginia Invitational (April 16-17, 2011) ... notched one victory against Clemson, with a time of 8:18.2
- raced in the first novice boat at the Big 12 Championship (April 30, 2011) and helped the boat to a first-place finish (7:18.3)
- propelled Texas' first novice eight boat to a win at the Conference USA Championship on (May 14, 2011)
BEFORE TEXAS
Was a member of the varsity lacrosse, swimming and cross country teams at Springside School in Philadelphia, Penn....won the city championships with her club rowing team.

Full name is Jillian Byron ... born July 10, 1992 in Mineola, New York ... daughter of Leigh Byron and Christine Heine ... is the sister of Victoria (17), Olivia (14), Everitt (5) and Teddy (2) ... is a neurobiology major ... Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection (Fall 2011).
