Louth tabbed Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month
IRVING, Texas -- University of Texas junior Kelley Louth was selected Wednesday as the Big 12 Conference's Women's Golfer of the Month for November after recently scoring the Longhorns' top individual finish of the fall. Louth (Victoria, Texas), competing in her first tournament since September, led UT with an eighth-place individual finish at 12-over par (78-73-71). Louth's showing was Texas' first top-10 individual finish of the season, and her effort helped the Longhorns to their first top-10 team finish of the fall, as Texas placed sixth at 75-over par. Louth becomes Texas' first Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month in the five-year history of the award. Louth and the rest of the Longhorns return to competition on Feb. 19, 2007 at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla.
