Vandermade tabbed Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas -- Texas senior Nicole Vandermade has been named November's Big 12 Conference Women's Golfer of the Month, the league office announced Thursday.
Vandermade led Texas to the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational (Oct. 31 - Nov. 2) team crown for the first time since 1999 while also overcoming a four-stroke deficit after 36 holes to claim the first win of her collegiate career. The Longhorns beat eight of the nation's top 50 teams and Vandermade became the first UT medalist at its' annual event since 2003.
Vandermade is currently ranked seventh nationally among all collegiate individuals in the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings as of Nov. 9, 2011.
