Alex Richards, Walla selected to NGCA All-America Scholar Team
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- University of Texas freshman Alex Richards and sophomore Kristin Walla have earned selections to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar Team. Student-athletes must hold a minimum 3.50 grade point average and must have competed in at least 50 percent of her team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the season to earn selections to the All-America Scholar Team. Richards (Austin, Texas), a liberal arts major, played in eight events last season for the Longhorns and registered an 80.18 stroke average. Her top finish was a top for 26th place at UT's Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. Walla (Aspen, Colo.), a communications major, also played in eight events last season while totaling a 78.95 stroke average. Walla's top finish came at the Texas A&M "Mo"Morial, where she tied for 14th place.
