July 6, 2012
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Texas Women’s Golf senior Desiree Dubreuil was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced on Friday. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. A Communication Studies / Human Relations major with a 3.62 cumulative GPA, Dubreuil recorded five Top 25 finishes during her junior season, including a career-best second-place finish at the season-opening Texas A&M “Mo” Morial. Dubreuil was a member of the Texas postseason lineup that finished second at both the Big 12 Championship and NCAA East Regional Championship. The Longhorns tied for 13th place at the NCAA Championship in May for their best finish since 2004. In addition to her All-American Scholar Team achievement, Dubreuil is a six-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection and two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
