WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Following the conclusion of the second round of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships on Thursday morning, Texas (299-296) climbed to 13th place at 19-over 595.
Wednesday’s play was halted at 7:27 p.m. ET with 27 players still on the course. The 24 teams and six individuals encountered a 58-minute weather delay early in the afternoon and another 50-minute break less than an hour later. A final downpour cut short the day's action after another system swept through coastal North Carolina. The remaining groups finished their second rounds at approximately 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
The Longhorns began their third round of the 72-hole national championship at 10:21 a.m. ET on the first hole of the Country Club of Landfall Pete Dye Course. Texas is paired with South Carolina and New Mexico.
