Women's Golf team finishes 11th at Guadalajara Invitational
GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- The University of Texas women's golf team finished 11th at the 2006 Guadalajara Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico on Wednesday, led by hometown Longhorn and senior Devan Andersen (Guadalajara , Mexico). Andersen shot a team-low, six-over par 78 in the final round of the tournament to finish with a combined score of 17-over par 233. She shot rounds of 80, 75 and 78 on the par 72 course in her hometown to tie for 38th-place. The Longhorns had a final team score of 83-over par 947 after shooting a final-round combined score of 320. UCLA finished in first-place with a score of even par 864. Southern California was in a close second and seven strokes off the pace with 871, Duke was third with a total score of 10-over par 874, and Arizona State and Georgia tied for fourth-place with identical 18-over par 882s.
