Texas-Ex Swenson to appear on The Golf Channel's Road Trip show
AUSTIN, Texas -- Former University of Texas women's golfer Perry Swenson will appear with former PGA Tour pro Charlie Rymer and musicians Josh Kelley and Mark Bryan in "Road Trip: Myrtle Beach," a 30-minute reality show on The Golf Channel with new episodes airing every Tuesday evening. Swenson, a former Longhorns team captain, played at Texas from 2002-05 and was a runner-up at the 2005 Big 12 Championship. Swenson also was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 Conference selection. Swenson will appear in all 12 of the show's episodes, with the first slated to air on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Central. The show features Swenson, Rymer, Kelley and Bryan playing rounds of golf at courses in the Myrtle Beach, S.C., area. Rymer has also appeared on ESPN golf telecasts, and Kelley is a successful solo artist who recently married Katherine Heigl of ABC's Grey's Anatomy. Bryan was a guitarist for Hootie and the Blowfish.
