The Longhorns finished the day in 14th place after carding an 11-over 295. Starting the day on the back nine of the par-71, 6,092-yard Stanford Golf Course, Vandermade turned in a bogey on her first hole before making her first of three birdies on the par-5 12th hole. Another bogey ensued on 17 to make the turn at 1-over, and a double bogey on the first hole pushed Vandermade to 3-over through 10 holes. The Brantford, Ontario, native found red numbers on the fourth and seventh holes to finish her opening round at 1-over. Fish's round began the same as Vandermade's, with a bogey, but she went to 3-over through her first two holes with a double on the 11th hole. Fish made the turn at 4-over after carding a final bogey on the 18th hole, but she rebounded with back-to-back birdies on holes three and four -- her 12th and 13th of the day -- and remained at 1-over for the round after making par on her final five holes.
