Women's Basketball postcard from Rutgers: Karen Aston
Greetings from the East Coast! Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and will enjoy a safe and healthy New Year! We are in New Jersey, getting ready to play Rutgers tonight. We arrived on Wednesday night, practiced Thursday morning at the RAC (the arena at Rutgers), and then went to the Big Apple for the rest of the day. It is always fun to see the players' reactions to new places. Coach Conradt took us to a show (Christmas Spectular) at the famous Radio City Music Hall, fed us really, really GREAT - and we even got to shop a little bit. I tried to go to the Museum of Modern Art - the MOMA, but the lines to get in were too long. That was real disappointing, but those of us who tried to go to the MOMA settled for pretzels from the street vendors instead! ): The bus rides are always fun for me, because the girls always sing or laugh (for no reason!). It's nice to hear them having fun. OK, we have a game to play in a few hours. It's been real, but I am ready to get back to Austin. Happy New Year and Hook 'Em Horns! Coach Aston P.S.
