Texas-S.F. Austin Women's Basketball game on for Thursday, Dec. 8
AUSTIN, Texas -- Although The University of Texas is closed on Thursday, the No. 19 University of Texas women's basketball team will host Stephen F. Austin Thursday evening, Dec. 8, at the regularly-scheduled time of 7 p.m., as announced by UT officials. The game tip time remains at 7 p.m.; all regular game-day parking lots (those reserved for UT Foundation members) and the State parking garages will be open for use. Fans attending tonight's game are asked to use caution when traveling. The SFA team traveled to Austin on Wednesday afternoon and avoided the inclement weather conditions which currently exist in Central Texas. The Longhorns (3-3) stand 45-3 in their last 48 Frank Erwin Center home games, dating back to the beginning of the 2002-03 season. Texas and S.F. Austin (4-3) renew an old rivalry which has been dormant since the 1987-88 season. Texas leads the all-time series action, 10-6. Tonight's game is "UT Spirit Appreciation Night".
