Texas renews its series with Stephen F. Austin (4-3) tonight after a 16-year span during which the series was dormant.
Texas enters with a 3-3 mark, and the Longhorns are ranked No. 19 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 and No. 21 in the USA Today/ESPN poll ... Texas is coming off an 84-70 loss to then-No. 1 Duke on Sunday in Austin ... Stephen F. Austin, from the Southland Conference, stands 4-3 to date, and last played on Tuesday, defeating Arkansas-Little Rock, 80-45 ... The LadyJacks come in with a three-game winning streak ... This will be the 17th meeting between these two squads, but the first since the 1987-88 season ... Texas leads the series, 10-6.

The Longhorns are led by the double-figure scoring duo of 5-10 freshman Erika Arriaran (12.7 ppg) and 6-3 junior Tiffany Jackson (11.7 ppg) ... Jackson tops the club in rebounding (6.5 rpg) and steals (18), while Arriaran is tied for first in assists (2.3 apg) and is 11-for-12 in free throws ... Longhorns Lose Williams to ACL Injury; Carey Quits Team
UT has lost the services of freshman Earnesia Williams (5.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg) for the year, due to an ACL right knee injury which will require reconstructive surgery ... Williams, a 6-0 scholastic All-American and Gatorade State Player of the Year out of Sapulpa, Okla. and Sapulpa High School, suffered the ACL injury during Sunday's (Dec. 4) game against No. 1 Duke, won by the Blue Devils, 84-70 ... Williams was making the first start of her young Longhorns career, and was injured on a baseline drive to the basket with 4:47 left in the game. Williams finished with a season-high 12 points to go with three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 14 minutes of play.

Texas also saw its roster reduced when 6-5 junior post Kalee Carey left the team on December 7th due to personal reasons... Carey had played just 10 minutes this year in two games... Carey saw action in 31 games as a reserve post, scoring 98 points with 72 rebounds.

A Look at the LadyJacks
Stephen F. Austin is paced by a trio of seniors: 6-0 LaToya Mills (18.6 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 16 steals), 5-6 Britany Vinson (10.1 ppg, 5.0 apg) and 5-7 Kirby Killingsworth (9.3 ppg) ... The Ladyjacks have held their last two opponents to low field goal shooting percentages ... SFA held Air Force to an 18-of-58 (31 percent) performance from the field... The Longhorns are led by 6-4 freshman Ashley Lindsey who has 36 percent of UT's bocked shots (13 of 36) ... Lindsey is averaging 2.2 blocks per game, and is followed by 6-3 junior Tiffany Jackson in that category (seven blocks, 1.2 bpg) ... The NCAA blocks leader is Clemson (8.6 bpg) ... Texas also is 33rd nationally in steals with 72 (12.0 spg), with Jackson the steals leader with 18 (for a 3.0 spg average)... For Stephen F. Austin, the LadyJacks are ranked No. 36 nationally in assists (16.8 per game) ... Individually, 6-0 senior LaToya Mills stands No. 6 nationally in field goal percentage, hitting 67.5 percent of her shots (56-83), and is No. 29 in scoring (20.0 ppg)...
