• BEYOND THE ARC ...
Texas is 4-0 this season when out-shooting its opponent from 3-point range. The Longhorns are averaging 5.2 3FG per game, and recorded seven 3-pointers against Southern California (Nov. 27) and five against Rutgers (Nov. 28) in the Paradise Jam finale.

• KAT UNLEASHED ... Junior guard Kathleen Nash is leading or co-leading UT in four categories through six games.  Nash is pulling down a team-best 7.0 rpg, playing an average of 30.5 mpg and shooting 54.5 percent from 3-point range (12-of-22). Nash and senior guard Brittainey Raven are leading UT’s scoring effort with 13.8 ppg each.

• CHECKING THE POLLS ... In the most recent Associated Press Poll released on Nov. 30, 2009, UT came in at No. 17. The Horns are the highest ranked two-loss team, coming in ahead of No. 18 Oklahoma (4-2), No. 20 California (3-2), No. 22 Michigan State (4-2) and No. 24 Kansas (3-2).

SERIES VS. ORAL ROBERTS
Tuesday’s contest marks the eighth meeting between Texas and Oral Roberts. The Longhorns hold a 6-1 all-time advantage over the Golden Eagles.  UT has won the last six meetings between the two teams, including the most recent contest in Austin on Nov. 25, 2006, when UT posted a 39-point margin, 79-40. Texas head coach Gail Goestenkors is 1-0 against Oral Roberts, with a 62-51 neutral site victory in 2000 when she was at the helm of the Duke program.

PARADISE JAM RECAP 
UT went 2-1 at the Paradise Jam with wins over Rutgers (70-67) and No. 19/22 Mississippi State (73-55). Texas dropped its second game of the three-day, three-game tourney in the U.S. Virgin Islands to Southern California (54-61). Senior guard Brittainey Raven and junior guard Kathleen Nash were named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team. Three UT players averaged double-digit scoring while in St. Thomas. Raven led the way with 14.7 ppg, and Nash and sophomore guard Ashleigh Fontenette each averaged 11.7 ppg. Nash also led Texas in rebounding with 7.3 rpg while playing a team-high 32.3 mpg.

LAST TIME OUT: RUTGERS (NOV. 28)
Junior guard Kathleen Nash hit a game winning 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds remaining to lift No. 13 Texas Women’s Basketball to a 70-67 victory over Rutgers in the finale of the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Senior Brittainey Raven led UT with 15 points, while freshman Cokie Reed added a season-high 14 points and sophomore Ashleigh Fontenette added 12. Nash led Texas on the boards with seven rebounds while adding six points.

VERY BALANCED 
Texas is averaging 70.3 points per game with eight of its 10 players accounting for three or more points per contest. Six of the 10 on the squad are posting 6.3 or more points per game. The same is true of the rebounding category, as eight of the 10 are corralling 3.0 or more boards per outing.

HORNS AT HOME
Now in its 33rd year of play in the Frank Erwin Center, Texas has posted an all-time record of 407-72 (.850) in the building.  Texas has an all-time 75-51 (.595) mark against AP Top 25 teams at home, and boasts a 5-5 (.500) record under third-year head coach Gail Goestenkors.  The Horns have won 25 of their last 32 home contests under Coach G.

STREAKIN’  
Senior guard Brittainey Raven’s streak of 16-consecutive free throws ended on against Mississippi State (Nov. 26) in her final attempt. Entering the game against the Lady Bulldogs, Raven had been 4-of-4 against North Texas (Nov. 20) and 4-of-4 against Connecticut (Nov. 17). Her streak began when she made her final two attempts against UTSA on Nov. 13. Through six games, Raven is hitting a team-high 76.7 percent (23-of-30) from the line. Additionally, Raven has scored in double figures in 11-straight games dating back to March 4, 2009.

LONG RANGE SUCCESS
Texas is 4-0 this season when out-shooting its opponent from 3-point range. The Longhorns shot a season-high 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from beyond the arc against North Texas (Nov. 20), and have five or more 3-point baskets in four of their six games, including seven against Southern California (Nov. 27) and five against Rutgers (Nov. 28).
