AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas women's basketball team hosted its annual Halloween party on Monday for the athletics staff.
Serving pizza, a ghoulish punch and more candy, cookies and cake than could possibly be eaten by 1,000 people (although the players made a valiant effort to do so!), the staff and Longhorn basketball team enjoyed showing off some of the finest Halloween costumes in the nation.
The "Best Costume" award was unanimously awarded to none other than head coach Jody Conradt, who was Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" with her Toto. The unanimous vote? For creativity and for the fact that Coach Conradt was the party's organizer and originator.
Some of the other characters who came to the Halloween party included: the rest of the cast of "The Wizard of Oz", straight from their DVD tour ...
Soon-to-be-movie and TV legend Madea, the gun-toting grandmother from "Meet the Browns" and "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and soon-to-be released "Madea's Family Reunion" ... And it was not the cross-dressed Tyler Perry, but a different show-stealer as Madea;
A dead-on stand in for Laura Croft from "Tomb Raider" and "The Cradle of Life";
Napoleon Dynamite .. an Elvia wanna-be ... clowns ... scary visions ... a Playboy Bunny ... and many others.
