Countdown to the Women's Basketball season: Time out for some singin'

Countdown to the Season Series: As the Longhorns coaching staff and players gear up for the official start of the 2005-06 season, TexasSports.com will go behind the scenes and help you get acquainted with the players and coaches and give you a look at what's going on as the team prepares for another year of challenging for championships.

There are many opportunities for the Longhorns to break out in song during the basketball season - in the locker room ... on the bus traveling to the airport or to a pre-game road practice ... and, as the nation found out last year, singing prior to an ESPN TV broadcast when UT's own Mighty Clouds of Zion captured the attention of the nation, singing prior to the M.L. King, Jr. Day telecast of the Texas-Connecticut game in February. The "Mighty Clouds" were known for their gospel-singing prowess, and the quartet was comprised of Tamra Cobbins, Erneisha Bailey, Tiffany Jackson and Annisa Hastings.

Now, the team singing is not limited to performances with the "Mighty Clouds". This year's players were asked about standing up and singing Karaoke, and what their favorite song in that setting would be. Check out what the Longhorn crooners enjoy singing the most! This is a pretty confident group!
