Texas Women's Basketball
Treat your students this year and attend the first Texas Women's Basketball Forty Acres Field Trip! On Dec. 14, UT Athletics and the Frank Erwin Center will open its doors to Central Texas fourth, fifth and sixth graders for exposure to college athletics and a unique experience with higher education. Students and chaperones will receive FREE tickets* to the Texas Women's Basketball game to visit the campus and be encouraged to pursue higher education.
In addition to the excitement of Texas Women's Basketball, students will be stimulated academically by some of the most entertaining educational programs The University of Texas has to offer, including demonstrations from the Cockrell School of Engineering and College of Natural Sciences. Each student will also receive a worksheet with age appropriate activities to enhance the educational value of this athletic event.
The game will tipoff at 11 a.m. to be part of the school day for attending schools. The doors to the Frank Erwin Center will open at 9:30 a.m. to give early arriving schools the opportunity to see the demonstrations from the numerous academic groups and make the most of this unique learning experience.
This is an exciting opportunity UT Athletics is proud to offer. If you would like to ensure your students are part of this groundbreaking initiative, sign up today! We will see you on Dec. 14.
*Tickets subject to availability; transportation not provided. Due to NCAA rules, free tickets are for chaperones and children grades 4-6 only.
