Goestenkors unveils the 'Gail Goestenkors Signature Collection'
Oct. 15, 2008
AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas head women's basketball coach Gail Goestenkors will unveil the Gail Goestenkors Signature Collection clothing line Friday, Oct. 17 at the University Co-op in Austin. The line is believed to be the first-ever women's apparel collection with design assistance from a Division I head coach. "Klutch delivers feminine, fashionable clothing to women who not only want to support their team, but also want to look feminine and trendy when doing so," designer Rebecca Miller said regarding her lines. "Breathe offers sleek styles that provide the comfort of traditional licensed apparel, but with a style and flair not available until now. Breathe is great for the sidelines or just lounging around." The Career Collection, which features a blazer and slacks, silk blouse and easy, seamless knit-layer pieces, was developed with Suzie Hart at Niche in L.A. Perfect Wear, Inc., assisted in the production of the suiting, while Destination L.A. and Pure Sugar produced the silk blouse and layering pieces, respectively.
"We are proud to introduce this very special collection, and I am certain it is the first in the country -- a line of clothing by any college coach," Mitchell said. "Gail was part of the process every step of the way, from giving us initial input on her favorite pieces of clothing to selecting the designs, fabrics and labels, and even modeling her namesake collection." The Gail Goestenkors Signature Collection will launch Friday at 3 p.m. at the University Co-op. Coach Goestenkors and the 2008-09 University of Texas women's basketball team will take part in a runway fashion show prior to beginning the first official practice of the season later in the evening. |
