AUSTIN, Texas -- Fans of Texas Women’s Basketball are invited to the first official practice of the 2009-10 season on Friday, Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m.  The practice at the Frank Erwin Center is open to the public and will be followed by a “meet-and-greet” autograph session with all players and coaches. Practice is scheduled to conclude at 7 p.m.

In addition to Friday’s open practice, Texas head coach Gail Goestenkors encourages fans to attend a second open practice on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.  This practice session in the Erwin Center will follow the first annual Texas Women’s Basketball Fantasy Clinic for adult women. During the 2009-10 season, fans will also have the opportunity to attend five Texas Rewind sessions.  Coach G and the Longhorns will host the postgame Q&A sessions in the Lone Star Room of the Erwin Center, and admission is open to all on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Erwin Center Access for Fans: There is only ONE ENTRANCE for fans attending Erwin Center practices in 2009-10 - the Red River (main glass door entrance).  Fans will not be allowed access to the Erwin Center from any other point in the building. The Red River entrance will be staffed by UT personnel to allow admittance to the facility.
