AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas Women’s Basketball team will appear nationally on FSN (Fox Sports Net) at least five times during the 2010-11 season, the Big 12 Conference announced on Tuesday.   The Longhorns will play three televised league games on FSN (Fox Sports Net) as part of the Big 12’s television package with the national network which also includes UT’s home non-conference contest against Tennessee on Dec. 12 (noon Central).

Additionally, Texas will be seen by a national audience when it plays at Stanford on Nov. 28 (2:30 p.m.) as part of the Pac-10 FSN package.

In Big 12 Conference action, Texas will appear in three of the league’s 19 regular-season games airing on FSN, beginning with its Feb. 12 contest at Baylor (12:30 p.m.). The network will also televise Texas at Oklahoma on Feb. 19 (5 p.m.) and the State Farm Lone Star Showdown in Austin against Texas A&M on Feb. 27 (2 p.m.).
 
The final seven games of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship will be televised by FSN for the 10th consecutive year. The semifinals and final have been aired by the network every year since the inception of the league in 1996-97. As part of the postseason championship’s new format, quarterfinals will be played on Wednesday, March 9, followed by semifinals on Friday, March 11 and the final on Saturday, March 12.
