Women's Basketball set for European Tour

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Women’s Basketball team departs Friday, Aug. 5 for a 10-day visit to Europe that includes stops in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The Longhorns will return to Austin Monday, Aug. 15 before beginning the fall semester Aug. 24.
Once overseas, Texas faces Hradec Kralove (Aug. 8), Strakonice (Aug. 9) and Karlove Vary (Aug. 10) during a three-day span in Prague, Czech Republic. After a two-day break in Bratislava, Slovakia, the Longhorns will take on Herzogenburg on Aug. 13 in Vienna, Austria.
Among the off-the-court highlights will be visits to some of Europe’s most scenic and famous landmarks, including the Prague Castle, Moser Glass Factory, Bratislava Castle, Schonbrunn Palace, Prater, The Hofburg and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
