CHICAGO -- University of Texas signee Cassie Peoples is one of 24 players who will participate in the 10th Annual McDonald's All-American Game on Wednesday, March 30. Tip for the prestigious contest is slated for 6:30 p.m. Central at the United Center, and the game will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
                                                                                                                                                                               
Peoples will compete for the West team in the game. She is the ninth player in University of Texas history to compete in the All-Star game.

A 5-6 point guard from Cy-Fair HS (Houston, Texas), Peoples was named the 2011 Texas Class 5A-District 17 MVP after leading the Lady Bobcats to a second-place finish in the district and a second round playoff game in February. She scored a total of 49 points in her pair of postseason appearances. Peoples and the Lady Bobcats won the Texas Class 5A state championship in 2010.

In the 2011 HoopGurlz Recruiting Ranking, Peoples is the eighth-ranked positional player and listed No. 36 overall.
