AUSTIN, Texas -- On Monday, March 17, Texas women's basketball head coach Gail Goestenkors will be a special guest on the final 2007-08 "Longhorn Sportsline with Rick Barnes" weekly radio call-in show, which will be broadcast live from Plucker's Restaurant and Wing Bar near the UT campus. Plucker's is located at 2222 Rio Grande Street.
UT students and fans are encouraged to attend the final broadcast of the season of Coach Barnes' one-hour show which runs from 7-8 p.m. Central.
Coach G will be at the show for the last half hour and will talk about her 21-12 squad, Big 12 Championship semifinalists who anticipate receiving a NCAA Championship at-large berth when the NCAA unveils the women's field of 64 this evening. The NCAA Selection show is from 6-7 p.m. Central on ESPN.
Craig Way, the Voice of the Longhorns, will serve as the show's host. Fans have the opportunity to stop by the show to listen and ask questions of both Coach Barnes and Coach Goestenkors.
