COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The tip-off time for The University of Texas' NCAA First Round contest on Saturday, March 21 has been set for 11 a.m. Central (noon local), ESPN television announced tonight. The Longhorns (21-11, 8-8 Big 12), the No. 6 seed in the Berkeley Regional, will play Mississippi State (22-9, 8-6 SEC), the No. 11 seed.

Should Texas advance to the Second Round, it would face the winner of Saturday's Ohio State-Sacred Heart game. UT's game on Saturday will be played at the Nationwide Arena and will be televised nationally by ESPN2.

This marks the second consecutive and 23rd overall appearance by the Longhorns in the NCAA Tournament. UT's 23 appearances tie it for the third-most NCAA showings along with Stanford and Virginia.
